Junior Information Security Professional (f/m/d)

As a Junior Security Professional in our Security Governance & Assurance team, which is responsible for the strategic aspects of information security at Mail & Media, you can grow into the following tasks:

• Designing and optimizing security-critical processes: You will optimize our internal security policies and guidelines as well as the BCM (Business Continuity Management) System, taking into account internal and external compliance requirements, state-of-the-art technical options, and the interests and structure of the company.
• Conducting security audits and assessments: You carry out audits and assessments in our internal departments as well as at business partners and suppliers, prepare the results in a target group-oriented manner, and support the closure of identified gaps.
• Increasing security awareness: You will contribute to a continuous increase in security awareness within the company by preparing and conducting training courses and presentations for various technical and non-technical target groups.
• Projects to improve the safety level: You will work on projects that increase the company's safety level.
• Preparation and representation in external audits: You will prepare necessary documentation and represent Mail & Media in external security audits, such as ISO27001.

• Degree and training: You have successfully completed or are about to complete a degree in (business) informatics or in a comparable area. You have specialized in information security and/or gained relevant practical experience, e.g., through internships.
• Technical basics and trends: You have sound theoretical technical knowledge and at the same time follow current trends such as AI, digitization, or DevSecOps. You enjoy gaining practical experience that helps you identify security risks in IT infrastructures and propose economic measures.
• Data affinity: You have a high affinity for data and data-driven decisions. Ideally, you have gained experience in the areas of data analysis, data visualization, data science, or process mining during your studies.
• Team player: You are a team player who leads by example at all times. Your commitment, empathy, and continuous willingness to learn will help you gain the necessary trust in the organization.
• Communication skills: Your ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner appropriate to the recipient (in German and English, both at C1+ level) rounds off your profile.
