Vulcan Energie Ressourcen GmbH is an innovative, fast-growing company in the field of sustainable lithium extraction and renewable energies. With our lithium plant, we are making a decisive contribution to the decarbonization of European industry and to securing a sustainable supply of lithium in Europe.

We are looking for you to join our growing team in Karlsruhe as a full-time (40 hours per week) as - General Ledger Accountan t (m/f/d).

Your mission

• You maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely posting of transactions in line with internal controls and external regulations.

• You prepare and review journal entries, perform variance analysis, and complete account reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy.

• You take full ownership of the monthly HGB and IFRS closings across European entities, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are compliant.

• You support the preparation of HGB and IFRS statutory accounts, including coordination of compliance requirements and external audits.

• You actively contribute to process improvements, driving the automation of manual tasks and increasing operational efficiency.

• You assist with various ad-hoc tasks and projects, bringing flexibility and initiative to each assignment.

Your profile

• You have min. 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, ideally in an international corporate environment.

• You hold a Master’s degree, Diploma, Magister, or Staatsexamen in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• You bring strong expertise in HGB and IFRS, with a solid understanding of general accounting principles.

• You are proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA; experience with Datev, Lucanet, Excel, and tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

• You demonstrate analytical and conceptual thinking, a solution-oriented mindset, and a high degree of independence in your work.

• You are fluent in English, German knowledge is a plus.

• You work proactively, are solution-oriented, and are a true team player, even under pressure.
